-Movie patrons have access
to parking in four locations surrounding Chase Park Cinemas, which include Chase Park Plaza Garage, Argyle Garage, the KPLR
surface lot across from the theater, and valet parking.
-Accessbile parking can be found in the Chase
Park Plaza Garage and Argyle Garage.
-Another highlight of Chase Park Plaza Cinemas
is that parking in all the above locations is FREE for cinema customers for 2 hours with theater validation.
Drop-Off/Pick-Up Areas:
-There is a drop-off area located directly in front of
entrance; however, curb cuts for accessibility to the sidewalk are further down on either side of the main entrance.
-A ramp leading to the entrance is also located outside of the theater.
Accessible Entrances and Circulation:
-The theater has an accessible entrance that is clearly labeled with
an automatic door opener.
-Public spaces within the building are on an accessible route.
The patrons have to enter through a lobby area before entering the actual theater. This area is accessible by two ramps
leading to the theater area.
Concessions:
-The ticket and concession stands do not have lowered
counters, and a patron could potentially be at eye-level with the counter in a seated position.
-An individual could reach for items over the counter; however, the
height of each stand could interfere with employee-customer interaction.
Seating:
-Each theater contains wheelchair seating locations; however, they
tend to vary depending on the size of the theater.
-In smaller theaters, wheelchair seating is located on an accessible
route in the back with companion seats next to each seating location.
-The larger theater contains companion seats as well, but wheelchair
seating is located on the route leading into the theater (in the middle between two seating areas).
-Chase Park Plaza Cinemas also provides stadium seating to make the
line of sight comparable to other seats.
-There are no aisle seats with no armrests.
Assistive Listening and Audio Systems:
-Assistive listening devices are readily available to movie patrons.
-There are
no Descriptive Video Service, Audio Description, or captioning sevice available.
Rest Rooms:
-Restroom contains one accessible stall, with grab bars on adjacent
walls to assist with transfers.
-Restroom signage is clearly labeled as accessible, and there are
no doors leading into the restroom allowing for easy entry.
-Sink area has clearing underneath, as well as automatic faucets and
soap dispensers that can be operated with a closed fist.
-Paper towels can be retrieved from a seated position.
-Mirrors over the sink are also at a length that allows a person to
see themselves from a seated position.
Signs:
-Signs are provided that designates the theater number and restrooms.
-These signs are clearly labled and have high contrast; however, signage
was positioned a little high.
-Restroom signage in the theater has raised lettering, but does not
have Braille; however, the restrooms in the lobby area leading to the theater provides contrast, Braille, and raised lettering.
Water Coolers and Drinking Fountains:
-Two heights of drinking fountains are provided, one for persons using
a wheelchair and one for standing patrons.
-Drinking fountains can be operated with a closed fist.
Emergency Alarms:
-Exits were clearly labeled.
-Emergency alarms contain both flashing and audible signals.
